Proposed Courses
Here are some proposed ideas for future courses. Actual titles and content may change depending on instructor availability and member feedback.
Theory
- Digital Realms Understanding the dynamics of the digital communication space and how we can design better experiences.
- Brandcamp This will be the first of a series of courses dealing with branding and the reaction of society to the brand flood.
- Thought Leadership
“If your idea is truly that good you'll have to cram it down everyone's throat” Paula Purdon, 2008.
This course deals with truly innovative thinking and how to translate it into digestible bites.
Design
- Innovators of Design Where is design heading and who is influencing it's direction? This course is designed to broaden our vision of the future of design by looking at the trend makers of today.
- The Digital Grid In the early days of movable type the grid made sense. Does this fundamental theory apply in the digital world? We'll explore this design theory from both sides of the argument.
- Sustainable Design This is the 2009 buzz word but what does it mean? How can you help your clients be more responsible with their projects? All these questions and more will be covered.
Creation
- Disaster House With global weather patterns changing and natural disasters on the rise the course will interactively work with members to design an inexpensive and transportable shelter. Our goal is to produce shelter designs that can actually be build and used en-mass.
- FLEX / AIR Flex is taking the digtial world by storm. How does it work and what are the applications where you really need it?
- Digtial Approval Between PDF, Email, Yousendit, and FTP the days of face-to-face approvals are coming to and end. We'll explore new ways to ensure accurate and secure approvals processes.
Best Practice
